We would like to take a little bit of your time here to tell you a little bit about John Latta.
John Latta moved to Alaska in 1976. He is a Vietnam Combat Vet. John guided river float trips on the rivers in the Mat-Su drainage. What this means is that John took these people out on rivers and taught them to set up tents, fish, other camping techniques and how to keep the bears away. They outfitted with rafts, tents, cooking supplies, fishing supplies, and other miscellaneous camping items. These floats would be operated over 3, 5, or 7 days, depending on how much money a person wanted to spend. All this really consisted of was camping, fishing, and floating. Some people knew what they were doing, but the majority, John had to teach them everything. To view more pictures, please see our photo gallery.
This raft happened to get a little stuck!
John currently owns and opperates a 26 ft. Olympic Cutty Cabin boat. The boat was totally repowered in 2002 with a Volvo Pento Dull Prop, powered by a Chevy 305. It's average crusing speed on moderately calm water is 25mph. John opporates a Halibut charter off this boat.
John Latta enjoys many different things including: woodworking, building of furniture, reproduction of antiques (build from scratch), especially early American antiques, and also his favorite, fishing.
John thoroughly enjoys real estate. He has the same critical eye when he looks at homes as he does when he is building furniture. The two most important things to John, being a realtor, are ethics and his loyalty in service to his customers.
John Latta has lived in the Mat-Su valley since 1982. He is very knowledgable about the Valley. He knows everywhere from Palmer, Wasilla, Big Lake and everywhere in between.
We thank you for considering John Latta as your real estate agent. We promise you will not be let down with this decision.
Thank you....
